Break Yourself Down to Build Yourself Up

“Parties who want milk should not seat themselves on a stool in the middle of the field in hope that the cow will back up to them.” – Elbert Hubbard

When I was coaching at the US Olympic Training Center in Colorado we used to have an approach to creating a team of champions that was different from what was to be considered normal.

The average mindset would expect the athletes to come in to the resident athlete program, they would train with our coaches, learn the best strategies tactics etc and become capable of earning a medal at “A level” events, described as Olympic Games, Pan Am Games, World Championships & World Cup. The big ones.

It didn’t work that way, not even close.

You can’t get there from here,” was the philosophy.

Short version – if an athlete came in at a level 7 and the goal was to elevate him or her to level 10, we would break them back down to a level 3 or 4 before we even thought of getting them to level 10.

Why? Because what was good enough to get them to the National Champion level was and still is not enough to get them to the International Champion level – plain and simple.

It works the same way with you and your success. Even if you’ve reached a certain level of success, remember this: what got you here won’t get you there!

Plain & simple.

So what does this mean to you? And what can you do?

You can learn the same mindset techniques, the same goal setting, the same self-talk, the same breathing and focus exercises that have been taught to Olympic & World Champion athletes, Multi-millionaire investors, successful entrepreneurs (read millionaires).

The very same strategies, tactics and techniques that they are STILL using to excel in the current economic and business climate.

How can you learn this? Through one on one coaching, audio programs, tele-conferences, seminars and the like. Stay tuned to this blog for updates and announcements of the aforementioned Performance Education tools.

You don’t have to be on your own to struggle, you can be directed as if you were a resident at the US Olympic Center, one of the millionaires or one of the entrepreneurs that have immersed themselves in personal development.

You have a choice to continue struggling to raise your level of achievement or to accelerate your learning and start reaping rewards now. That choice is uniquely yours.

The best is yet to come!
